Welcome back from a nice long weekend! This week we'll be starting off by checking out class results for the Plate Tectonics Test in comparison to the amount that classes studied. It's my hope that by reflecting on this data, you find ways to become a better student. If you would like to retake the test, you have one week from today to do it. (Make sure to talk Mr. Bowles with any questions) We will also be moving on from Plate Tectonics to our next unit - Rocks, Weathering, Erosion. To start off, we will look at the different categories of rock - igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary. These rocks are made in various ways, and actually each one can morph into the next. After school help is available Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday this week. Stay curious and keep looking for answers!
This week you will be presenting your Plate Boundary Simulation Projects in which you used Google Earth, PhET Simulations (Univ Colorado Boulder), and WeVideo to show how plates move at a specific boundary in the world. You will be presenting on Tuesday & Wednesday, and will have a chance to sign up for a timeslot during class on Monday. Your video must be uploaded onto your Google Site portfolio before you present. (ask Mr. B if you have questions) During Thursday's class, there will be a Jeopardy review game to help with last minute preparations for the Plate Tectonics Test (4 bars) on Friday. After school help will be available Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday this week. Stay curious and keep looking for answers!
